MOLINE, ILLINOIS (November 17, 2020) — The Moline Foundation is pleased to announce workforce development awards of $55,000: $37,000 to the Quad City Career and Technical Education Consortium [QCC TEC] to support the transition to Xello Career Exploration Software, $3,500 to Black Hawk College’s Outreach Center, $1,500 to Black Hawk College’s Career Center, and $13,000 to Mercer County Better Together/High-Tech Small Town.

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (November 17, 2020) — Volunteers with the Disaster Action Team were busy responding to home fires this past week.  From November 9 through 16, Red Cross volunteers responded to six home fires including incidents in Lomax, New London and Rock Island.

DES MOINES, IOWA (November 17, 2020)  Governor Kim Reynolds has signed a new Public Health Disaster proclamation that imposes a number of additional public health measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. These new measures, signed on November 16, will be effective at 12:01AM on Tuesday, November 17, and will continue until 11:59PM on December 10, 2020.
