MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (July 8, 2019) — As the 2020 US presidential campaign enters its next stage, a book about the 2016 presidential election by a Monmouth College professor reveals how that campaign was perceived by media in Russia, China, and the Middle East.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (June 04, 2019) — These students achieved at least a 3.5 GPA for the Spring 2019 semester at Monmouth College while taking at least three academic credits.

Carly Dunham, a junior accounting and business administration major from Illinois City, the child of Richard L and Kathy R Dunham of Illinois City, Illinois.

Kaelan Bradley, a senior psychology major from Milan, the child of Bryan Bradley and Shayla McIntyre of Milan, Illinois.

 

MONMOUTH, IL (May 13, 2019) — A popular site for tourists, Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula has also been the site for the past three springs of a semester-abroad experience for Monmouth College students.

At the final Monmouth Associates program of the academic year on May 16, Monmouth faculty members Ken Cramer and Trudi Peterson will discuss what Monmouth students experienced in and around the beautiful and vibrant host city of the program, Mérida.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (May 8, 2019) — Longtime Monmouth College psychology professor Kristin Larson is retiring, but she won't stay idle for long.

Starting June 10, Larson will begin training to be a staff-member with Mercy Ships, an organization that serves "the world's forgotten poor" in West Africa. Her first assignment will be in Dakar, Senegal.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (May 7, 2019) — Monmouth College's baccalaureate service will once again be a festive affair, featuring several special music performances.

The service will be held at 2PM May 11 in Dahl Chapel and Auditorium, the day before the College's 162nd Commencement Exercises. The public is invited.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (April 24, 2019) — The author of a newly-published book about the chief justices of the United States Supreme Court will return to his alma mater to speak to students on April 26.

Dan Cotter ('88) will speak at 2PM in Mellinger Commons on the first floor of Monmouth College's Center for Science and Business. Free and open to the public, the title of his talk is "The Chief Justices: Our Nation's History Through the Center Seat on the Supreme Court."

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (April 23, 2019) — The following area students were inducted into Monmouth College's Alpha Lambda Delta honor society, a national honorary scholastic-fraternity for freshmen who earn a 3.5 GPA during the first semester or maintain a 3.5 average over the first academic year.
