Delivered by curators Joshua Jackson and Vanessa Sage, a virtual, members-only tour of the new exhibition Haitian Masterworks will be presented on December 3, with participants given insight into the works selected and the history behind them – a collection focusing on prevalent themes in Haitian art including spirituality, transformation, the natural world, everyday life, and Haitian history.

Held in conjunction with the Davenport venue's current New American Scene: Recent Acquisitions to the Figge Collection, a November 19 Virtual Curator Talk will find the Figge Art Museum's Joshua Johnson introducing the latest Gildehaus Gallery exhibition, a showcase of natural depictions of American subjects, as well as numerous notable 20th-century artists and their timeless works.

Held in conjunction with the venue's new exhibition Haitian Masterworks, the Figge Art Museum's Vanessa Sage and Joshua Johnson will host a Virtual Curator Talk on November 12 introducing this fascinating showcase for numerous gifted artists, with the Figge home to one of the largest collections of Haitian art in the United States.

Estate planning and other legal issues facing artists will be the subjects of the Figge Art Museum's Virtual Scholar Talk on October 29, with Iowa City attorney David Bright and artist T.J. Dedeaux-Norris discussing the legal efforts taken to preserve the artistic legacy and estate of Tameka Janean Norris, whose currently running Figge exhibit is designed to explore the complex legacy of an artist’s identity after their passing.
